Overview
InterviewOpps aims to bridge the gap between candidates and employers. Their mission is to revolutionize the job interview process by offering a seamless, user-friendly platform designed to facilitate meaningful connections in the professional world.
Problem
Accepting interview invitations proved to be a challenge, causing confusion and frustration among the users. We wanted to redesign the joining experience to help users navigate through the platform and accept these invitations with ease.
Solution
-
Simplifying the interface: Reduce clutter and unnecessary elements on the screen to make it easier for users to focus on the invitation acceptance process.
-
Prominent call-to-action button: Make the "Accept Invitation" button more noticeable by using contrasting colors, larger font size
-
Clear instructions: Provide concise and straightforward instructions to guide users through the process of accepting the invitation. This can be done through tooltips, on-screen prompts, or an interactive walkthrough.
-
Seamless navigation: Ensure that once users click the "Accept Invitation" button, they are directed to a relevant destination. This will minimize confusion and provide users with immediate feedback on their actions.
Reflection
Throughout the process, I remained focused on the user experience, regularly seeking feedback from stakeholders to ensure that the redesign met their needs and expectations. Although the circumstance didn't allow user testing, I made sure to gather feedback from other sources to refine the design further. Redesigning the joining a live interview experience was a valuable learning experience that helped me hone my skills in user experience design. I learned the importance of creating a streamlined and accessible process while remaining focused on the user's needs.
